Dusk to Dawn Choruses

2017–

A collaboration with Julien Grossmann, in which we explore the various forms and definitions of the chorus – from ancient Greek tragedies to modern telecommunications and bird calls at dawn. 

Our findings are used as a starting point for writing text and music scores in which the voice occupies a central place. The music is then realised through workshops and performances with an ensemble of amateur singers.
